Roy Todd

Roy Todd is the co-owner of My Own Money, having his office in Carrollton, Texas. Roy holds two degrees from Baylor University, a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and a Master of Science, Economics (MSEco).

In business Roy is motivated by one simple example: Several years ago a close friend found himself pre-maturely retired by his employer, and he came to Roy for help only after his exit from the company. During his working years he had not planned well, and upon his ‘retirement’, he faced the very harsh reality of having no retirement income other than Social Security. Roy is very strongly motivated to never let this happen to any of his clients if given adequate time and commitment by the client.

When Roy is not in the office, you will probably find him on an offshore fishing boat pursuing tuna, wahoo, amberjack and yellowtail. He can often be found in the woods hunting for deer, elk and geese.

Roy is an active member of Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco, Texas, and he frequently volunteers through Texas Baptist Men serving those who have been affected by disasters, whether feeding the homeless or running a chainsaw after a major storm. And many years ago, Roy became an Eagle Scout.

Beyond investments, detailed planning, etc., Roy lives by God’s promise: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)
